Mønster Queen [MQ] was born out of a gaping void afflicting London’s nightlife scene. The brainchild of Aarron O’Conner and Lais Pattak, Mønster Queen set out to be a safe and inclusive space for the alternative and queer communities, with an emphasis on contemporary music and performance art.
London’s underbelly is full of so many creative and beautiful creatures, and MQ invites everyone to grace her dancefloors, where they can safely explore their dark side, perform and share their art, all under her protective red lights and dark brooding soundscapes.
I feel f*cking cleansed! - Felicia Brookhaus
Mønster Queen boasts an array of sounds to lose yourself within: Goth; Darkwave; Post-Punk; EBM; Dark Techno - whatever your favourite, her DJs feed the dancefloor with elements of them all.

Born in the basement of the iconic Queen Adelaide in 2018, MQ has since graced the VFD, Metropolis and Cell 200, each with their own unique and rich histories. She has also hosted parties for the launch of the “Mortal Remains” magazine, the Nympha x Long fashion collaboration, and more recently produced a runway show for Anthony Turner at the Creative Head Awards ceremony.

But now Mønster Queen prepares to enter her new dwelling, and next venture, the indomitable Electrowerkz, for her most thrilling time of the year... Halloween!

This year, the Halloween weekend falls on “Devil’s Night,” a night traditionally full of mischief and mayhem.

For the first time in her years, Mønster Queen will welcome to her halls an international DJ and producer, who has been a key component in driving the niche and underground sound of Italo Body Music. From Toulouse, France, Kendal is the figure behind record label Ritmo Fatale. His recent project, “Infravision” sees him partnering with powerhouse Pablo Bozzi.

“A clash between italo disco and EBM, rave and synth wave, flesh and machine. This is where Kendal was bred and still evolves. Somewhere between past, present and no future.”

The musical stylings of Mønster Queen are carefully curated by Jxn Cøcõ, they are eclectic and underground, with “goth” always being at the core. Her opening night saw nods towards witch house, and experimental noise, so italo body music slips comfortably in to this contemporary catalogue.

Alongside Kendal, MQ will also welcome back Proteus to the decks, alongside residents Jxn Cøcõ, Matt C and special guest Elander Ziggy. You can also expect two durational performances throughout the night, from both Venus Raven and Luca Federici, who complete the bill for the evening’s witchy festivities.

Monster Queen prides itself on inclusivity and love, and cannot wait to welcome you to her loving dark family.

Coming to Monster Queen for the first time was like coming home and finding my long lost family. I can safely say it changed my life, I had never before experienced such intense feelings of deep connection, unconditional love and total and complete acceptance.
At Monster Queen I found more than a regular club experience, I found purpose and finally became the person I've always wanted to be, thanks to the community we managed to build around it and the love and continuous support from every single person I have been lucky to meet at every single one of our sweet "monthly meetings", as we lovingly refer to our now iconic night. There is nothing more special than feeling like you belong, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for our beloved family. – Sugar Magnohlia
