We are looking for:
Chef De Partie / Sous Chef / Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter
Preparing food for customers and streamlining work from back of house to front of house.
Job Duties:
- Clean food preparation areas as determined by Food Hygiene Standards
- Prepare food to the specifications of the customers
- Make adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
- Act as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature
- Season food according to recipes or Head Chef needs
- Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer
- Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on Head Chef preference
- Assists other cooks during the food assembly process
- Estimate expected food consumption and organise preparation
- Keeps records and accounts of food purchases
- Meet with customers to ensure a great meal experience
- Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
- Offers a creative menu to compete with other local restaurants
- Cleans up after business hours
- Communicates with Chef about how to improve meal service
- Alter dishes based on customer suggestions or requirements
- Roles require late hours and weekend work
KITCHEN Skills and Qualifications:
Basic computational skills, organisational skills, verbal communication, culinary arts training, kitchen equipment knowledge, butchering, knowledge of international cuisines, creativity, interpersonal skills.
