PERSONAL MEDICATION POLICY
Electrowerkz is committed to supporting guests who need to bring essential personal medication into the venue, while also meeting our licensing, safety, and security obligations.
All medication brought into the venue must comply with the requirements below.
Prescription Medication (General)
If you need to bring prescription medication into the venue:
Medication must be in its original packaging
The dispensing label must be clearly visible and show the name of the person it is prescribed for
You must bring a copy of your prescription
You must also present valid physical photo ID
Acceptable forms of ID include:
Valid passport
Photo driving licence
PASS-approved proof of age card
Any medication that is not in original packaging, is loose, or cannot be clearly identified may be refused entry or held securely and returned when you leave.
Advance Notice & Medic Room Storage
If you need to bring prescribed medication, please let us know in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements:

On arrival, the Night Manager and Medic will meet you and arrange secure storage of your medication in the medic room.
Stored medication is handled as follows:
Medication is stored securely in the medic room
A matching ticket is issued (one kept with the medication, one given to you)
Your name and medication type are recorded in the medicine log book
Medication must be accessed and taken in the medic room with a medic present
Medical Cannabis
We only allow prescribed medical cannabis in oil form inside the venue.
If you need to vape prescribed medical cannabis, this must take place away from the venue and smoking area and only with assistance from an Electrowerkz team member.
Please note:
You must speak with the Night Manager on arrival
Assistance is subject to staff availability
Waiting times may be up to 60 minutes, though we will always try to minimise delays
Possessing cannabis remains illegal unless it has been formally prescribed to you. Proof of prescription is required.
Items Not Permitted
The following are not permitted inside the venue:
Any medication not in original packaging
Loose or unidentified medication
Medication vials and loose needles
Non-prescribed injectable substances
EpiPens & Insulin Pens – Admission & Safety Procedure
We recognise that EpiPens and insulin pens are essential, life-saving medical devices. These are permitted in the venue, subject to the safety procedures below.
Permitted Devices
Guests may bring:
EpiPens (auto-injectors)
Insulin pens with sealed sterile needle attachments
Entry Procedure
Please declare EpiPens or insulin pens to security on arrival.
Our medic team and/or duty manager will carry out a brief visual check to confirm:
Device type
Expiry date
No signs of tampering
This is a safety check only and helps us support you quickly if needed.
Carrying or Storing Devices
Guests may:
Keep their device with them, or
Ask for it to be stored securely with the medic team
Any stored items are logged in and out.
Guests who need privacy to administer insulin can request access to the medic room.
Sharps & Needle Safety
Needles and sharps must be sealed and declared
Used sharps must be given to the medic team for safe disposal
Sharps must never be placed in general waste bins
Improper disposal presents a serious safety risk and is not permitted.
Emergency Response
In the event of an allergic reaction or medical emergency:
Staff will assist immediately
Emergency services will be contacted where required
The medic team will take control of the situation
Logging & Data Protection
Where devices are stored, we log:
Guest name
Device type
Quantity
This information is stored securely and deleted after one month unless legally required to retain it.
All records are handled in line with GDPR requirements.
Food for Medical Conditions
Food needed for medical conditions must be in unopened packaging in small quantities will be allowed-NO external drinks will be permitted.
